DRNK, a coffee and tea shop brand from Hollywood, California, and Abbott’s Frozen Custard, a beloved brand from Rochester, New York, will be opening their first Virginia locations at Cascades Overlook. The Ocean City Planning and Zoning Commission has approved the site plan for the new Marriott Hotel . Despite some concerns over traffic and building visibility, the project received a favorable recommendation. The developers addressed parking, traffic, and pedestrian safety concerns, including providing a shuttle service. The aesthetics of the building from Route 90 were discussed, with the commission suggesting the addition of architectural features.
